Welcome to the Ugandan International Marathon blog! Here’s what’s happened so far:
This week we’ve received word from the Ugandan Police, Masaka Mayor, Regional Road & Traffic Commission, and Regional Council & Parliament that they are all wholeheartedly supporting the marathon. This is incredibly exciting- communities are very strong here in Uganda, and once authorities throw their weight behind an event, it becomes that much bigger and more exciting.
We’ve confirmed the London launch night as Monday 12th January 2015, at The Escape School in the City of London. We’re going to bring together all runners who have already signed up, with famous adventurers and key London corporations, for a night of inspiration and Uganda-themed excitement.
Formal sign ups will go live in a couple of weeks, we can’t wait to welcome you all and show you our amazing corner of Uganda, nestled right on the Equator.
