An Adventure Like No Other!Do Something Incredible! Run a 10K, Half or Full Marathon in beautiful rural Uganda whilst taking part in a 7-day African Adventure
31 May – June 6, 2016
Safe to say that the Uganda international marathon was the best thing that I’ve ever done and the most amazing time of my life – it really was a race like no other. Huge thanks to everyone who has made it so special (esp the world’s best 3 running buddies)2015 UGM Runner's Facebook Post
Combining volunteering, adventure, music, a festival, street party, organising a children’s sports day, activities and more. This isn’t your average holiday or challenge.
The trip culminates in a 10k, half or full marathon with 3,000 local runners through a beautiful scenic course. Over half our runners have never done a marathon before – it’s a race for everyone.
Uganda is the bucket list destination. All the safari animals. The last 400 mountain gorillas in the wild. Source of the Nile. The most friendly people. You’re going to love it here.
Making a real difference to communities and people
The Marathon is supporting the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
There are no fundraising targets or minimums, simply an opportunity for you to help amazing people in Uganda directly. You’ll spend time with and volunteer at the project you’ve supported, meeting the very people whose lives you have helped change. The 2016 Marathon is set to become the largest fundraising event in Uganda, ever – and you can be part of it.
A Race, An Adventure, A Chance to Give Back, A Community!
